GTA 6 Trailer 2 Released Ahead of Schedule; Rockstar Games Responds
Hours before its planned December 5, 2023, at 9 am ET release, the much awaited GTA 6 teaser unexpectedly showed up. Following an earlier incident in September 2022 when production footage leaked early, Rockstar Games—the creator of the blockbuster series—faced yet another leak. Online user @zachxbt now says that Skenkir was the mastermind behind the leak.
Allegations Against Skenkir Surface @zachxbt state Skenkir gained early access to the unlisted trailer by means of access to a YouTube administrative panel. Shared were screenshots of Telegram messages allegedly from Skenkir, exposing conversations about where to release the video and ideas to include a watermark, later observed in the leaked clip.
Previously unreported by Rockstar Games, the leaked teaser featured a screenshot showing the expected Fall 2025 release timeframe. @zachxbt’s given chronology shows that the leaked film went live on an unidentified date at 21:58 UTC. As a result, ahead of schedule Rockstar Games had to publish the official edition on YouTube.
Rockstar Games admitted the leak and handled things with X. Though the damage had been done, the account in charge of the leak was quickly suspended. Even with the setback, the official teaser broke records when it was released legally.
Despite Setback, Official Trailer Breaks Records
Months have gone by since the tragedy, and fans are keen for more GTA 6 related information. About a second teaser, Rockstar Games has been quiet, though, verifying that it won’t be shown at the forthcoming Summer Game Fest 2024 event. Fans still yearn for further updates on the much awaited game.
